A modern open space
In an age of screens, notifications and constant attention pressure, it's harder than ever to find peace. The sauna offers one of the few places where we can still be offline, not only technologically, but also mentally.
What is sauna mindfulness?
Sauna mindfulness is about using heat and silence as a framework to enter the body and be present in the moment. It does not require advanced meditation training, just a desire to be present. The heat anchors us in the body, and external stimuli are dampened. Everything else must wait.

Breathing as an anchor
In the sauna, breathing becomes a natural form of meditation. The warm air, the pulse and the rhythm of sweat create a connection to the present that rarely occurs in a busy everyday life. By focusing on slow, deep breaths, you can regulate your nervous system and find peace.
Gus as a sensual ritual
Saunagus enhances this mindfulness effect. The scents of essential oils, the gentle waving and the rhythm of the master's movements make the saunagus a meditative ritual. Here, all senses are activated at once, creating a powerful presence that can be difficult to achieve elsewhere.
Physical calm leads to mental calm
When the body warms up, the muscles relax and the pulse drops, it has a direct impact on our mental state. The flow of thoughts slows down, and there is space for contemplation, or just to be.
A ritual in everyday life
For many guests at Sauna House, the sauna has become a regular part of their weekly routine. Not because it needs to be optimized, but because it creates a space where you can land in yourself. It's not about doing something right, but about just being.
Mindfulness doesn't require yoga
You don't have to sit in the lotus position to meditate. You can sit in silence on a warm wooden bench and let the sweat drip while your body does the work. The sauna is perhaps the most down-to-earth meditation space we have.
