Terms of Trade

General information when creating a membership
When creating a membership at Sauna House, the member must provide their name, gender, address, email, telephone number, and card information for future membership payments.

Any changes to contact or payment information must be notified to Sauna House immediately via the member's profile. It is the member's responsibility to ensure that Sauna House always has the correct contact information.

We only use the information you provide to improve your experience with us, including booking saunagus sessions, using memberships or communicating about our services.

Age limits
To use Sauna House you must be 18 years of age and of legal age.

House rules
The member is obliged to familiarize himself/herself with and follow the applicable house rules at all times. Read the rules HERE .

The member's violation of the house rules constitutes a breach of membership and membership conditions and may result in expulsion, termination or cancellation of membership, a fee being imposed and the member being excluded from membership in Sauna House and associated companies for a period determined by Sauna House or permanently. Sauna House reserves the right to file a police report in the event of a violation of the house rules.

Bracelet
The member must use their membership bracelet to gain access to Sauna House's facilities. The bracelet must be picked up at Sauna House in Nordhavnen at selected times. Information about this follows. The bracelet is personal and may not be used by anyone other than the member.

Failure to comply with this will result in immediate and permanent expulsion from Sauna House and exclusion as a member. No compensation will be given for the notice period. The wristband must always be brought and scanned before access to the sauna and other facilities that follow the membership type. Furthermore, the wristband must be worn clearly during a stay in Sauna House. Sauna House may require that the member present photo identification in certain cases in connection with a stay in Sauna House.

The member is responsible for storing the bracelet properly and ensuring that it is not damaged, lost or misused by others for unauthorized access or purchase. In the event of loss or suspected misuse, Sauna House must be informed immediately in writing. The member may be held liable for unauthorized use of the bracelet until Sauna House is informed in writing of the loss or misuse.

If the bracelet is damaged or lost, this must be reported immediately to Sauna House, which will issue a new bracelet for a fee of 300 DKK.

Liability and limitation of liability
Unless otherwise stated in the membership terms and conditions, the parties are liable to each other in accordance with the general rules of Danish law. However, Sauna House is not liable for loss and damage caused by simple negligence, nor is Sauna House liable for indirect loss.

The Member is not entitled to claim compensation or damages if the Member's ability to use the Sauna House facilities is reduced as a result of renovation or maintenance work, damage/damage, repairs, cleaning, health or hygiene measures or other operational actions initiated by Sauna House. However, if the Member's ability to use the Sauna House facilities is significantly reduced for 14 consecutive days as a result of such circumstances, the Member is entitled to a proportionate reduction in the price of his membership for the period in question. In such cases, the Member is asked to contact Sauna House's Member Service. Sauna House reserves the right to change the opening hours during the year, depending on the season.

If Sauna House is unable to fulfill its obligations towards the Member due to circumstances beyond Sauna House's control and the consequences of which Sauna House could not foresee or overcome (force majeure), the parties' obligations towards each other are suspended for the period during which the force majeure situation exists. The Member cannot therefore terminate the membership during the period in question, but the Member can terminate the membership in the usual manner. If the Member has a prepaid membership and Sauna House is unable to fulfill its obligations towards the Member during a period as a result of force majeure, the Member cannot demand such prepaid membership to be fully or partially refunded or compensated immediately for such period. If the membership is still in force after the expiry of the said period, Sauna House will offset the value of the prepaid membership for the period in subsequent invoicing of the Member.

In the event of price changes, these will be notified in advance for a period of time corresponding to the notice of termination in force at any given time.

Right of withdrawal on all purchases

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal on all purchases made at Sauna House, whether via our website, social media or in our facilities. However, the right of withdrawal does not apply to services that have begun within the withdrawal period with your acceptance, such as booked sauna sessions or events. If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must contact us in writing within 14 days of purchase.

Termination of membership

You can cancel your membership by contacting our customer service at info@saunahouse.dk. The cancellation period is the current month + 1 month. Please note that there is a binding period of 4 months from the date of purchase.

Membership on hold
Memberships cannot be put on hold. Upon cancellation, you will have to sign up for a waiting list if you wish to renew your membership.

Waiting list

If there are no available membership places at the location in question, the option of being placed on a waiting list is offered against payment of a waiting list fee. The waiting list fee is a one-time fee and the current price is stated in the booking system at any time.

The waiting list fee is not refundable. By being added to the waiting list, the member accepts that promotion to active membership occurs automatically when a vacant membership spot arises and that payment for the membership will then be initiated in accordance with the prices and terms applicable at any time.

The waiting list is administered as an automatic upgrade list in the order in which the waiting list was created. If the member does not wish to be automatically promoted, it is the member's responsibility to deregister from the waiting list before the promotion takes place. If the member deregisters from the waiting list, the waiting list fee will not be refunded.
